Last autumn the more venerable of the two Chateaux of Ansembourg was the stage of an unforgettable evening for club members as well as for the lord and lady of the house, when the ASCoT ball signalled the rebirth of a residence which had stood uninhabited for more than three centuries. The old chateau, whose origins go back more than nine hundred years, is wonderfully evocative and no one who was privileged to be there would have been at all surprised to hear the chink of armoured footsteps!

We were truly honoured to be received in such exceptional surroundings by the Count and Countess of Ansembourg and this honour was matched by the gracious presence of Her Royal Highness the Princess Guillaume of Luxembourg who, with the Founder Chairman of ASCoT Club, Count du Bediesse, opened the ball with a waltz.
